Kira graduated in 2014 from the University of Witwatersrand with an Honours degree in Dramatic Arts, majoring in Performance and Musical Theatre.

From a very young age, Kira expressed a strong love for all things theatrical, but with a special interest in musical theatre. She performed in various productions and eisteddfods throughout primary and high school.

Since graduating, she has performed various professional productions. She has most recently completed the first-ever production of The Hobbit, (2023) in South Africa, directed by Alan Swerdlow, where she was able to show her versatility as an actress, playing multiple different roles including Gollum and the Elven Queen. She has also worked with West End Musical Theatre director, Frank Thompson, in the international Southern-Asia and South African tour of The Sound of Music, (2017-2018).

In 2018, Kira launched a YouTube channel, doing cover videos of comedy songs, mainly from musicals, with a parody or two thrown in for good measure.
